Alan Baum formed Baum and Associates in August 2009. Alan has produced an automotive forecast since 1990. He provides long-range analysis of the automotive market and has worked with clients on a variety of analytical issues. He has worked extensively in the area of fuel economy, powertrain forecasting, hybrid and electric vehicles, and other research issues.has also worked in the area of customer-supplier relationships and in identifying major trends affecting automotive vehicle and component manufacturers.
Much of his work has centered on the domestic and global market, including segmentation and sub-segmentation analysis. He has also worked with suppliers evaluating new products and segments that offer the most promise as they seek to grow and target their business.
